This building is made by Raissa Goulart Zanardo. This building is made to be build in Brazil. I find this building interesting because it is build like a sphere. It has lots of geometrical shapes. The roofs of the little houses all have a pyramid shape. The tops of the roofs have small square tops. All the lines are very clear. They are visible in the roofs but also as poles to hold the roofs up. There is a pattern in how the little houses are formed in a circle. A circle is usually symmetrical. This building however is a circle but not symmetrical. You can see this because there are 2 bigger squares on the left and then 2 smaller squares next to each other. But there is only one big square on the right and then 2 smaller ones. I do not know the idea behind this but I think that it has something to do with light or how many people with stay in the 'houses'. Because it is a circle, it creates a unity. The building is made of 1 colour (brown) so there are not many colours to blend with each other. This also means that there is not many contrast in the building.

This building is made for poor people who live in Africa or in a forest. There isn't a expressive meaning behind this building but it just helps people that do not live under the best circumstances.

This maquette is made of cardboard and wood but the actual building will be made of clay.
