Frida Khalo  The two Frida's

When Frida was divorced from Diego (1939), she made this painting. On the day that the divorce papers came, she was almost finished.

On this painting you see two versions of Frida Kahlo. They sit side by side holding each others hands. On the right you see a happy, loved Frida. in her left hand she holds a miniature portrait of Diego. You also see that her hart is in piece.

On the right you see a sad, depressed Frida. On the place where a normal hart should be, Frida has a broken hart from the divorce with Diego. You also see that Frida cuts the blood stream from the Diego in the miniature portrait.

This is the miniature portrait of Diego Rivera
